Ok, i know i said this blog would be done at least once a week and its been 2 weeks since my last post but ive been really busy and totally forgot about it until a lovely lass remined me the other night. So here goes! Over the last month ive noticed a steadily increasing amount of traffic to my site. This is great news and buissness has grown because of it, however, there has also been a substantial increase in the amount of spam emails i get. I wouldnt mind if these were of any interest to me, but there usually full of completly irrelevant crap that would be of no benefit to either me or my buisness, so whats the point. I mean, who are these people that spend there days sending spam emails. Have you not got anything better to do!! Get a life man! Dont get me wrong its not a massive problem or anything, more of an inconvenience i could do without. Also, in the last month ive averaged between 3-4 phone calls a week to, from companys offering the latest "Search Engine Optimization" service or "Buisness Directory Listing". Its only after theve kept me on the phone for 10 minutes, that they mention its going to cost a small fortune! I know that this has only happened because my site is steadily climbing the rankings, which im delighted about, but whenever i receive an email or a phone call i think, great it could be a sale or a customer enquiry, and i feel really disapointed when its just some muppet touting for buisness. This issue never crossed my mind at all when i was designing the site, but we all live and learn. Anyway, cant sit about here all day moaning (ha) Theres work to be done. Stay happy people.
