So why did i start this website? It was an idea i had a almost three years ago now but, at the time, i could never fully dedicate myself to it. So just over six months ago i left the security of my full time job (kinda had to really) and went for it! Im pleased to say its going well so far. The website looks good, the product range is steadily increasing and i have had alot of satisfied customers. I have a real passion for this work to and love being my own boss, even though that usually means working a frankly ridiculous amount of hours, I dont mind especially when i get emails or phone calls from customers telling me how much they love there art work.

Well helloooo its about time i got around to doing this really. Ok i guess i should introduce myself. My name is Robert Henderson I am 27 years old and run a retail art website called Smartmodernart.com which specialise in producing quality and contemporary canvas art from a wide range of styles and subjects.
This is where i will be keeping a weekly journal of my experiences of running this site. Including latest news, new releases and my own personal thoughts and feelings about the everyday running of the site. Upcoming blog entries will include interesting and informative chat regarding the pleasure and job satisfaction i get from doing this and of course any problems and frustrations that arise.
